Mrs. Brown
Hi! My name is Mrs. Brown! I am a 5th grade teacher at Scarborough Elementary. I've taught for ten years and am so excited for year eleven!
I was born in Argentina and moved to Texas when I was a baby. I grew up in Austin and am a product of A.I.S.D. Go Bowie Bulldogs!! After high school, I attended Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas where I earned a B.S. in Academic Studies (Elementary Education). After graduating I moved to Kazakhstan. In Almaty, I taught 4th grade at Tien Shan International School.
It was such an amazing experience to live and work abroad. I lived in Kazakhstan for two years and moved back home to Austin in 2006. I also love to travel. Some of my favorite experiences are seeing Lenin's tomb in Moscow, traversing the Hermitage in St. Petersburg, eating the best food ever in China, walking the cobbled streets of Istanbul, going back in time visiting the ruins at Ephesus, and running after a train in Scotland. I've even caught a glimpse of some killer whales off the coast of Washington!! This summer I visited Puerto Rico and it was spectacular!
I also love to read and have traveled to many more adventurous places through books. My latest adventure includes moving to San Antonio with my family and beginning a new job. I can't wait to get started!
