Behavior
1. Be kind
2. Follow directions
3. Listen carefully
4. Change tasks quickly and quietly
5. Take care of property
~Always give your best!
Behavior management is an important aspect in any class. I have five expectations which are listed above. It is important that we stay focused and behave properly so that we can learn the fourth grade curriculum. If a student's behavior disrupts the rest of the class, the student will be given a verbal warning, loss of privilege, phone call to parents, and/or meeting with the principal.

Homework/Class Assignments
Homework is the same every week. Students will have daily math and vocab work. Your child may bring home work he/she did not finish in class. The students are given plenty of time during the school day to finish most assignments. However, there will be projects assigned that students will have to do at home.
All assignments are expected to be turned in on the due date. Obviously, some emergencies do occur. When these circumstances arrive, please contact the teacher via note, e-mail, or phone. If the students do not turn in their work the day it is due, they will be allowed to turn in the missing work the next day, however 5 points will be deducted. After three days, the student will receive a 50 and if the work is never turned in, a zero will be received.
Please help your child be responsible for his/her work. It is important that the student stay on task so he/she does not fall behind. If there are any questions or confusion, please let me know as soon as possible. Together, we can make fifth grade successful!

Supplies
It is important that all of the students have the necessary supplies. Students are expected to keep their supplies neatly in their desk. Please check with your child throughout the year to see if any supplies need to be replaced.
